#Mebeyond

170 women participated in the 2nd edition of the Rising Pineapples conference

Berlin, March 9, 2020 - On March 8, International Women’s Day, 170 participants joined the Rising Pineapples initiative for the second edition of their conference. This year, the driving theme of the event was #mebeyond: the conference focused on the importance of embracing all life experiences as part of one’s own unique success story.

“We are extremely proud that so many women joined our conference this year. It means a lot to us to see that we created a space to connect, to learn from each other and to share strengths and weaknesses with each other. We believe that all experiences in life should be embraced and today really showed how much positive energy evolves by it”, said Delphine Mousseau, founder of the Rising Pineapples initiative after the event.

The workshops and presentations - the latter called “Talks” to emphasize the engaging character of the presentations - were held by 12 women with various backgrounds and expertise. Theo Kauffeld spoke about stereotypes and how they influence us, Dr. Taniesha Burke emphasized the importance of daring something new. Jennifer Baum, founder of the water-based nail color gitti, shared her experiences and struggles when daring to found her own business. Camille Busson encouraged everyone to discover and make use of their female energy as a support in personal and business life. Nine workshops focused on different topics such as leadership, communication skills, creativity, agile work and self-love.

The conference was hosted by The Family, a fellowship of founders which helps entrepreneurs build up their startups. It was supported by FemGems, who support female founders in their early stages as well as by the e-commerce companies Zalando and Flaconi and the travel planner and booking platform Omio.
